Storybird’s Destinations of Interest

Last week at the library, Storybird checked out a Ripley’s Believe It Or Not book. Storybird read about many interesting places that she’d like to visit when we go on the road.

Here is her list (in no particular order):

Dishes and Smiles

Our dishwasher quit working at the end of last week, so we’ve been handwashing dishes as we dirty them. Mike declared that it was good practice for when we hit the road.

Storybird thought about that comment for a moment before asking, “The RV will have a dishwasher, right?” Funny Girl.

What Storybird wants to do on the trip

Go to RI because it’s the smallest state.

Go to KY and pick a couple blades of Kentucky Blue Grass.

Quick Status Updates

12/22/12 : You know, I used to work a 40 hour week with no problems. Tonight we finished our 3rd of 3 PM shift and I’m fried.
12/20/12 : Volunteer & Staff Christmas Party tonight. Miranda made pistachio pudding salad and Harrison made mint chocolate fudge for our potluck dishes. Our Secret Santa (Ray) gave us a $20 Money card and chocolate. I believe we’ll hit a movie in the next couple of weeks (the candy will not last that long ;) )
12/18/12 : Kicked off one—week-‘til-Christmas with dinner out and Brian Setzer concert in Phoenix. We al had a great time.
12/17/12 : This past weekend we worked the 5:45Am - 12:15PM shift on Sat & Sun. With the rainy/cold weather and the early hour, it was brutal. This week’s PM shifts should be better.
12/12/12 : Three PM shifts under our belt—with only a few minor issues. This weekend we’re scheduled the AM shifts. Beginning work at 5:45AM does not much appeal to me. I foresee a bit of napping in my future.
