We finally made it out to complete our waterfall hat-trick and it’s a good thing we didn’t try to see them after Madison and Merimere Falls.  The Sol Duc trailhead is 12 miles off the main road so it was quite a drive back in.

MsBoyink tried some Dramamine for the first time as this area makes her car sick.  It helped her car sickness, trading it out for tiredness and a numb face.  Maybe just a good bottle of wine would work as well?

Anyway, the trail is an easy 1.5 mile round trip hike with no strenuous spots.  The falls are unique in that you view them from the top and they take a right-turn and fork before cascading down to the channel they’ve created.  I’m not sure I’m happy with any of the photos I got of the falls.

Hiking out we ran into some guests from our campground so had a nice visit with them before heading out.  We drove into Port Angeles for some supplies and pizza (our third visit to the same place where we can all get full for $18).

On the way home I stopped by an old feed store that I’ve been wanting to grab some photos of.

A nice day, and probably our last round of sightseeing in this area before we hitch up and head out next Tuesday.
