Data is a 14-year-old boy from West Michigan. He is a Jesus Freak, a baseball lover, and dedicated fan of the Detroit Tigers. He has no pets. He hopes to grow up to be an infielder for his Tigers. When on this trip, he hopes to meet some of hockey and baseball stars, see the Grand Canyon, and find his fastball, which he said he thinks he left in Austin, TX. He wants to visit Cooperstown, NY, to see the baseball hall of fame, watch a game at Fenway Park, swim in the ocean, and, of course, play some baseball on old and new fields, preferably after finding his fastball.

After doing these things, Data simply wants to have a good time traveling the USA. He wants to meet plenty of new friends along the route. His goal is to at least drive through twenty states along the route. When on this trip, he thinks his family will draw closer together, and his sister, Storybird, will start to warm up to the idea of going around in a truck and fifthwheel. He also wants to learn how to skate, so he can play a bit of hockey by the time he’s twenty, most likely as a goalie. He is excited about the trip, and is happy to be on the road again, because he loves to travel.
